What's new in VeyFrame
New features and fixes, newest first. To update, download the latest version.

October 2026
Latest · 0.11.5In 0.11.5
- Install Update. When a new version is out, VeyFrame downloads it, checks it's genuinely from ZoniteAI, replaces itself, and reopens. No browser or dragging needed. (Updating to 0.11.5 itself is the last time you'll download by hand.)
In 0.11.4
- VeyFrame checks for updates about once a day and tells you when a new version is out, never while you record or export. Choose Download, Later, or Skip This Version, or turn automatic checks off in the alert.
In 0.11.3
- The New Recording preview is live: it shows what's on screen now, refreshing while the window is in front.
- With Camera on, the preview shows your camera, live, where it will sit in the recording.
In 0.11.2
- The New Recording window no longer stays on top of other apps: it goes behind them when you switch away, like any window. The recording controls still float while you record.
In 0.11.1
- With an AI assistant connected, VeyFrame no longer opens by itself when the assistant starts a session; it opens only when the assistant uses one of its tools.
- Buy a License and VeyFrame's license messages point to veyframe.zoniteai.com.
New in 0.11
- VeyFrame license. Downloading, recording, and editing stay free. Exporting videos and GIFs, and combining clips, now need a license: $50, paid once, with no subscription. See pricing.
- Activation. Enter your key in VeyFrame → Settings → License, when VeyFrame asks as you export, or click Activate in VeyFrame in your purchase email. It needs the internet once; then your license works offline, on all your own Macs.

0.10.2Fixes
- With an AI assistant connected, VeyFrame no longer opens by itself every time the assistant starts a session. It opens only when the assistant uses one of its tools.

0.10.1New
- Original camera shape. Show your camera at its own proportions, with softly rounded corners, when a circle or square would crop too much.
- Your own camera background. Put any picture behind you: VeyFrame separates you from the room and places the picture there.
- One magnification for every zoom. Select a zoom and use its magnification for all of them in one step. The zoom Speed setting is labeled as applying to every zoom, because it does.
- Style previews. Saved styles with a picture background show that picture in their tile.
Fixes
- An AI assistant's edit always lands on the clip it asked for, even if you open another clip while it works.
- Combining clips no longer renders a clip without its blurs when its project file can't be read; VeyFrame tells you instead.
- Crash recovery keeps the pointer movement when the screen file was saved but the project wasn't.
- Renaming a recording or moving it to the Trash includes every companion file, including ones named only by a recovered project.

September – October 2026
0.10.0New this week
- Laptop frame. The device frame now draws a laptop with a notch for Mac recordings, and a phone for tall ones. VeyFrame picks the right one for you.
- Aerial backgrounds. The macOS wallpapers list includes the aerials you've downloaded in System Settings, grouped as they are there.
- Zoom speed. Choose Fast, Normal, Slow, or Very slow eases for every zoom.
- Cuts that disappear. Press X where a cut starts and again where it ends. Cut sections collapse to a marker you can click to restore or adjust.
- Annotation colors. Separate box and text colors for callouts, any color by hex code, and colored Solid blurs. Callouts now sit exactly where their outline is, and dragging annotations is smooth.
- Simpler export. Pick a preset and export; the detailed settings live under Customize.
- Crash recovery. A recording interrupted by a crash or power loss is rebuilt the next time VeyFrame opens.
- Teleprompter. Read your script from a floating prompter that never appears in the recording.
