Install

  1. Open the downloaded VeyFrame disk image.
  2. Drag VeyFrame into your Applications folder, then eject the disk image.
  3. Open VeyFrame from Applications. If macOS says it can't verify the developer, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the message about VeyFrame, and click Open Anyway. You only do this once.
  4. The first time you record, allow VeyFrame under Screen & System Audio Recording, then quit and reopen it if macOS asks.
Early-access builds are signed with ZoniteAI's developer certificate. Until notarized builds are available, macOS asks you to confirm the first launch, as described in step 3.

Updating

VeyFrame checks for a new version about once a day and tells you when one is out (you can turn that off in the alert, or skip a version). You can also choose VeyFrame → Check for Updates… at any time. Click Install Update: VeyFrame downloads the new version, checks it's signed by ZoniteAI, replaces itself, and reopens. Your recordings, edits, styles, settings, and license are kept.

Versions before 0.11.5 can't install updates themselves: download the new version from this page, quit VeyFrame, and drag it to Applications to replace the old one. If VeyFrame isn't in a folder it can change (for example, if you run it from the disk image), it offers this page instead.

Uninstalling

Quit VeyFrame and move it from Applications to the Trash. Your recordings stay in the folder you chose (by default ~/Movies/VeyFrame). To remove settings too, delete ~/Library/Application Support/VeyFrame and ~/Library/Preferences/com.zoniteai.veyframe.plist.
