The short version: VeyFrame has no account, no cloud backend, and no telemetry. Your recordings, edits, and exports stay on your Mac, and the processing VeyFrame does (speech recognition, voice cleanup, background removal) runs on your Mac. We can't see what you record. This website sets no tracking cookies.

This policy covers the VeyFrame app for Mac (the “App”) and the website at veyframe.zoniteai.com, both provided by ZoniteAI (“we”, “us”).

What the App stores, and where

  • Recordings (screen video, and camera, microphone, and system audio when you turn them on) are saved as files in the folder you choose, by default ~/Movies/VeyFrame.
  • Edits are saved in a small project file next to each recording. The original recording is never changed.
  • Pointer and keystroke data recorded with a take (pointer positions and clicks, and the keys you press when Show keystrokes is on) is stored in that project file and used only to draw zooms, the cursor, and the keystroke overlay. By default only shortcuts are captured, never typed text.
  • Settings and saved styles are stored in the App's preferences and in ~/Library/Application Support/VeyFrame.
  • Your license, once activated, is kept in your Mac's Keychain: the key, and the name and email it was bought with.
  • Exports are written where you save them.

None of this is uploaded to us. We have no servers that receive your recordings or edits.

What leaves your Mac

The App makes no network requests in the background: no analytics, no crash reporter, no account, and no recurring license check. The connections that can happen are these:

  • Check for Updates, only when you choose it from the menu, downloads a small public file from this website that lists the latest version. The request carries nothing about you or your recordings; the website's host sees it like any file download.
  • License activation, only when you enter a key, sends that key to this website, which answers with your signed license. It's sent once per Mac; after that, the App checks the license on your Mac, offline. We count activations per key.
  • Buy a License opens our checkout page in your browser.
  • Speech recognition for captions and transcripts runs on your Mac with Apple's speech frameworks. The first time, macOS may download Apple's on-device speech model. Your audio is not sent to us.
  • macOS wallpapers are read from your Mac. If you choose a wallpaper in System Settings that isn't downloaded yet, macOS downloads it from Apple. The App never downloads them itself.
  • Sharing (Share, AirDrop, Mail, Messages) happens only when you choose it, through the service you pick.

AI assistants

The App can act as a local MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude or Codex. It is off until you turn it on in Settings. It listens only on a socket on your Mac, not on the network. When an assistant uses it, what that assistant sends to its own provider (for example, a transcript or a frame you ask it to look at) is governed by that provider's terms, not ours. Starting a recording through an assistant always asks you to confirm.

This website

The website is static pages hosted on Microsoft Azure. It uses no tracking cookies, no analytics scripts, and no third-party fonts or embeds.

The one exception is the Download button. Clicking it records the date, which button was clicked, the referring site's domain, and your browser's user agent, so we can tell which pages lead people to the App. No IP address is stored and nothing identifies you. Like any web host, Azure may keep standard request logs for security and operations.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Wompi, our payment provider; we never see or store your card details. Wompi tells us the payment's result, amount, and the name and email you gave at checkout. We keep that record, and the license key issued for it, to deliver your key, answer support requests, and meet accounting obligations. Your key is emailed to you through Microsoft Azure Communication Services. We don't use your email for marketing.

Your choices

  • Delete any recording or project by moving it to the Trash. Deleting the App and the folders listed in the download page removes everything it stored.
  • Turn camera, microphone, keystroke capture, and AI assistant access on or off at any time, and revoke permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  • If you email us, we use your email only to reply. Ask us and we'll delete the conversation.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: contact@zoniteai.com.
