Captions and transcript

VeyFrame transcribes speech on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.

Transcribe

In the Captions tab, click Transcribe on this Mac. VeyFrame uses your microphone track when you recorded one separately, otherwise the clip's sound. The first time, macOS may download Apple's speech model. Captions are split at sentences and pauses.

Edit and style captions

  • Edit the text of any caption, drag its block on the timeline to retime it, or press C to add one at the playhead.
  • Look: Box, Outline, or Bold; position at the bottom, middle, or top; size; and a highlight on the word being spoken.
  • Animation: a quick fade, a slower fade, a pop, or a slide up.

Edit the video by its transcript

Click Edit Video… in the Transcript section to see the transcript as text. Click a word (Shift-click to select more) and click Cut to remove it from the video. Cut words stay visible, struck through, and Restore brings them back.

Subtitles

Export .srt saves subtitles timed to the finished video, after trims, cuts, and speed changes.
