Export and share
Press ⌘E, choose a preset, and click Export…. Every export includes everything you see in the preview.
Exporting needs a VeyFrame license ($50, once). The first time you export, VeyFrame asks for your key; see License and activation.
Presets
| Preset | What you get |
|---|---|
| Full quality | HEVC at the original size and frame rate. Small files, for Apple devices. |
| Most compatible | H.264 up to 4K. Plays almost everywhere. |
| Web · 1080p | H.264 up to 1080p and 60 fps. |
| Compact · 720p | HEVC up to 720p and 30 fps, for small files. |
| Social · vertical | H.264 up to 1080 × 1920 and 60 fps. Offers to switch the canvas to 9:16 in one click. |
| GIF · 720 px | An animated GIF, 15 fps, looping, without sound. |
Customize shows the format, resolution, frame rate, and codec; changing any of them makes the preset Custom. Resolutions are limits: a smaller recording is never enlarged, and a 30 fps recording stays at 30 fps. The line above the buttons shows the exact output.
Several shapes at once
Also export (MP4) saves the same edit in other shapes beside the main file, ending in -9x16, -1x1, -16x9, or -original. The vertical copy follows your pointer and zooms.
After exporting
Show the file in Finder, Copy it to paste into Mail, Messages, or Slack, or Share it with AirDrop and more. Exports appear in the Library.
