License and activation

Recording and editing in VeyFrame are free. Exporting needs a license: $50, paid once, with no subscription.

What needs a license

Without a license you can do everything except produce a new video file: record, edit, add captions and annotations, and style your recordings. Your original recordings are normal video files in your recordings folder either way. A license unlocks:

  • Export: MP4 and GIF, in every shape and preset, including several shapes at once.
  • Combine clips into one video.
  • Exports and combined clips made by AI assistants.

Buy a license

Click Buy on the pricing page (or Buy a License in VeyFrame) and pay through Wompi. Your key arrives by email within minutes. It looks like VF-ABCD-EFGH-JKLM-NPQR.

Activate

  1. Choose VeyFrame → Settings → License (or VeyFrame → Enter License Key…). VeyFrame also asks for the key the first time you export.
  2. Paste the key and click Activate. Capital letters and dashes don't matter.

Or click Activate in VeyFrame in the purchase email on a Mac where VeyFrame is installed.

Activation sends the key to this website once, which answers with your license, signed so VeyFrame can check it. VeyFrame keeps it in your Keychain and checks it on your Mac from then on, so exporting works offline.

More than one Mac

A license is for one person, on all your own Macs. Activate the same key on each. To move a license off a Mac, choose Settings → License → Remove License from This Mac.

If activation fails

  • “couldn't reach the license server”: check your internet connection and try again.
  • “wasn't found”: compare the key with your purchase email. Keys never contain 0, O, 1, or I.
