Your first recording
From Record to a finished video in a few minutes.
1. Choose what to record
When VeyFrame opens, the floating recorder appears. Choose Display, Window, Area, or iPhone, then click the preview to pick the source. For an area, click Select area… and drag over the part of the screen you want.
2. Add your camera and voice (optional)
Turn on Microphone, Camera, or System audio and pick a device from each row's menu. Each is recorded to its own file, so you can adjust it later.
3. Record
Click Record or press ⇧⌘R. A short countdown appears on the recorded screen. Work through your demo normally, and click where you want viewers to look: VeyFrame zooms in on clicks.
Pause and resume from the floating controls whenever you need a break; nothing is recorded while paused. Press ⇧⌘. or click stop when you're done.
4. Review the edit
The recording opens in the editor with zooms already placed on your clicks and the cursor smoothed. Press Space to play it. Purple blocks on the Zoom lane are the zooms; drag them to change when they happen.
5. Tidy it up
- Press I and O to set where the video starts and ends.
- Press X where a mistake starts and X again where it ends to cut it.
- Pick a background and frame in the Frame tab of the inspector.
6. Export
Press ⌘E, choose a preset such as Web · 1080p, and click Export…. When it's done, show the file in Finder, copy it, or share it.
