Keyboard shortcuts
Single-key shortcuts work in the editor whenever you're not typing in a text field. The keyboard button at the right of the playback bar lists them too.
Recording
| Keys | Action |

| ⇧⌘R | Start recording (works while other apps are in front) |
| ⇧⌘. | Stop recording, or cancel the countdown |
| ⇧⌘Space | Pause or resume the teleprompter while recording |
Editing
| Keys | Action |

| Space | Play or pause |
| ← → | Previous or next frame (hold ⇧ for a second) |
| Home End | Go to the start or end of the clip |
| I O | Set the In or Out point at the playhead |
| X | Start a cut; press again where it ends |
| Z | Add a zoom at the playhead |
| S | Add a speed section at the playhead |
| C | Add a caption at the playhead |
| ⌫ | Delete the selected block (a cut is restored) |
| Esc | Clear the selection, or cancel a cut |
| ⌘Z / ⇧⌘Z | Undo / redo |
| ⌘K | Command menu |
| ⌥⌘I | Show or hide the inspector |
| ⌘E | Export |
